I have decided I want to wear makeup, just eye and lip stuff as anything on my skin won't work out well; problem I don't know how to, like do you put lip gloss or lip stick on first?

You put on either lip gloss OR lipstick..not both at the same time

Also youtube is your friend watch some videos...or that's at least how most cis girls i know learned it. It's a lot of trial and error and experience really...the first time doing make up usually looks like a mess..so don't get discouraged.

    Good luck:thumbsup:

It takes time. And you can watch youtube all you want but that doesn't work. The three most important things with makeup in order of importance:

1.) Practice. YOU need to try and work at it.
2.) Have another person actually show you in person. Go to a makeup counter. I've learned so much from various friends. Take what you see and incorporate that.
3.) Finally are tutorials. Watching a video is one thing. That is good for theory. Not application.

And figuring out what colors and shades are best on you is trial and error.

I just started doing what I'd watched my mom do and different girls make friends with but I don't wear more than some liquid foundation, mascara and lip gloss. It's easy. If you want to get more complex the YouTube video idea is the best. I love watching those just for the artsy side of it and how great some people are at being creative with their looks!

Thank you both I shall try them, according to Wikihow you put lipgloss with lipstick to make it more sparkly.

Makeup is art on your face, so all the rules are more like suggestions.

Eyeliner is the hard part IMO. Old school pencils can be difficult. Personally, I like the gel pencils and liquid markers.
Lip gloss is both casual and forgiving. Lipstick is great when it's on point but it's bold so there's a fine line between sex kitten and bobo the clown.

My philosophy on makeup is simple: less is more, try to look "natural", and always get a second opinion before you walk out the door.

I think for starters what Kasey suggested might be best. If you do know someone in real life that can show you ,you should ask them.

That might actually work...come to think of it...

Eyeliner is by far the hardest in my opinion.

Yeah, eyeliner scares the crap out of me. My partner does it but even a mascara wand comes too close to my eyes for comfort!

Eyeliner was the first thing I tried, no wonder it failed

Oh, honey. You only fail if you give up. I actually think eyeliner is a great place to start. Mascara, foundation and lip gloss are easy, and look nice, but eyeliner/shadow and contouring is where the magic happens and that stuff takes alot of practice
