So, I'm FtM Masculine Genderfluid blah blah blah anyways I've been doing Alex lately because that's a name I like but eventually I realized...I'm not sure if I really want to change my initials. So, now I need a name that starts with E, is either gender-neutral or male, and would work for a wimpy little brown-haired brown-eyed trans boy. So far the internet is giving me Eahba Eagle and Eadgar..........? If I can't find a good name, I'm just gonna stick with Alex, I mean, close enough, right? But I gotta find a name before I start my classes back up because I'm not interested in switching my name mid-semester AGAIN. ---------- Post added 23rd Aug 2016 at 02:26 PM ---------- Just found Echo....that's a pretty awesome name. I had no idea it was a name...also, it's apparently gender-neutral.
Some of the "E" names I considered for myself were Elliot, Eli (or Elijah), and Easton. I think Echo sounds like a really cool name, too.
I've always been fond of Edwin or also Edward. Especially because I think Ed/Eddy as nicknames sound sweet.
There's always Ellis, which is neutral. Esme and Evelyn were originally male names but are used more for girls now but I thought I'd toss them in. There's also Eanna (ay-nah) which is always thought was male but I met a girl Eanna the other day. Plain old Ed or Eddie could be used to be short for names of either binary gender. I always knew Edel as female but apparently it's male? Here's a long list of 'E' names of they're any use Unisex Names Starting With E | Nameberry.com In the end though I think Echo is a really cool name, but then again I've always loved unique names (and yet I ended up naming myself Seth. Go figure)
Errol Ellis/Elise Erin Eli Emmett/Em Emerson Elliott Ezra Emil Essery Emiliano Eccel Emi Egan Ensio Eracio Everly Some personal picks of mine are Ellis, Ezra, Erin, and Eccel. If these aren't enough I'd suggest using this search: Search Baby Names | BabyNames.com
Sadly not a lot of gender neutral E names that are very good. But if you're looking for male only I like Ethan and Eric. Alex is a good name though, especially for a genderfluid person. My sister's name is Alex and I know many more men with the name.
Thanks for all the great ideas, guys! A few names here that stand out to my are Eli (although, my brother's friend's name is Eli so that would be sort of weird if I changed my name to that since he knows me with my female name), Elliot (I've always loved that name since I was a little kid), and Emmett (another name I've really liked ever since I watched Switched At Birth xD) So...now I just have to pick...
What do you guys think about Andrew/Andy? It's a name I really like and although it doesn't start with an E my birth name, a french name, is pronounced like the first letter is an A instead of an E.
i like the name andrew quite a bit! its close to my name so maybe im biased but i think its a really nice name.
