So, I'm looking at shoes at Payless.com(cause I'm broke af, and they have some cute shit) for cheap). I'm a 9.5 in men's shoes, and if I'm converting right I should be a 11 in women's. I have a slightly wide foot, but I still fit in most men's regular width shoes. Do I need to find wide width though for women's shoes?

They have some great looking riding boots. I've seriously wanted a pair, ever since they started to come back in style( even before I knew I was trans, I wanted to wear them everywhere). I'm assuming I'd need a wide there just for the calf, since I have what would be considered athletic calves on a woman(but chicken legs on a guy).

They have some cute sling sandals too, but I doubt width matters there, due to the open nature of the shoe.

Now if I buy sneakers, can I just go up half a size if wide isn't an option?

i take a 9 in mens and a 10 in womens myself. i find some are a little tight in boots so i go with a wider pair of boots. if your a 9.5 shoe i would say a 11 would work but try on a pair just in case. trust me i try mine on in store no one says anything. enjoy

also width still matters with open toe and sling back shoes. trust me on that

I mean, it's payless, so even if they don't fit they have a good return policy online. I'm also looking to get some Converse, cause unisex and it'll work with the "grunge lesbian" style..

You should be fine in most 11s. Should definetely go wide. Most women's shoes are naturally narrower. Definetely do not go with pointed heels or boots. That is not for wide feet people.

Also check ebay or amazon. Can find deals online very often that are on the order of Payless costs.

I guess it depends on the angle of the toes and your foot structure. I have a size 12 nine west mary jane heel that is absolutely adorable but the toes are too pointy to wear a long time. Same for almost every pair of pointed toe shoes I have. But if the shoe fits, wear it.

Well the boots have more of a round toe, so I think I'll be good. It's too bad wide is so hard to find, cause everything is so cute.:icon_sad:

Oh well, plenty of cute stuff that is available in wide...luckily I don't have what I'd consider "man feet"(I actually always thought they were a bit girly), so I shouldn't have too many problems! Even sandals will probably work for me.

I'm definitely getting the riding boots, and MAYBE this pair of cute ankle boots I'm also eyeing...as soon as I have the money.

Unfortunately all the sandals in wide are all what I'd call "mom sandals." It's not really sandal weather anyway now, so I'll wait until spring, see if there's anything cuter. Unless I find some by chance.
