I feel like my parents are finally making progress. I have accepted by now that while my mom is extremely supportive she isn't going to fully accept that she has 3 boys instead of 2 boys and a girl but my dad and stepmom are doing great. I haven't asked to go by my chosen name at home yet and I'm starting at school next week but they have started picking up things on their own. i have caught them several times today working towards not calling me her or daughter. First my stepmom went to say good girl and stopped herself halfway through girl to say good job instead and then later my dad got caught up not knowing what to say knowing I'm not his daughter but not to the point of saying son so I suggested child which is a term I use a lot when describing myself so I'm not saying daughter. I feel so happy seeing this progress since I was the most afraid of them rejecting me and it gives me hope my mom will start soon to.
