Hello all, I'm wondering if there are any cheap swim binders that anyone knows of or methods I could use to bind while swimming. I don't currently own a binder, and even if I did the chlorine would damage it anyway. The underworld swimwear costs way too much, so I'd prefer it if you only suggest methods and ideas that are cheap.
    Thank you

Board shorts are a great place to start as far as bottoms are concerned. You might want to still wear a "regular" bottom underneath it though if it doesn't have a liner

For the top, get a high-compression sport swimsuit top (or sports bra- you can get those pretty wet) and wear that under a rash guard. Then you get the compression and coverage of a binder but for cheaper. Plus it's a nice "surfer" look

    Cheers!

Thank you! This is very helpful. Do you know where I could purchase a high compression top?

Would a "surf compression shirt" work? I just googled that and they seem pretty tight.

I contacted a website selling binders asking if they were suitable for swimming in. Unfortunately theirs aren't, but they are working with a manufacturer to bring out swim binders in a few weeks. They will be similarly priced to their every day binders, which I believe are around $10.99-13.99 USD

If you want to swim with your regular binder, it's okay and not really a big deal. Just be sure you wash it when you get out as soon as you can, because chlorine can damage it. If you don't want to invest in a swim binder (because they can be really expensive), you can get away with putting a rash guard over it to keep things dry.

If you're looking for a binder, there are some online programs that give them away for free or super cheap--if that helps.

As a trans girl who grew up with gynecomastia, tight compression tops are your friend.
