I've initially gone with the name Sam because I feel more comfortable with a gender neutral first name, but I'm still stuck because I want to change my middle name as well. I would like it to start with L to keep my initials, and I really like the name Luke. However, as my surname is 2 syllables the whole thing is Sam Luke ...... and I'm not sure it sounds quite right. What do people think?

Samuel Luke flows better in my opinion, doesn't keep it gender neutral though but you could go by 'Sam' as nickname.

    Would Lucas be a solution?

Samuel Luke goes better than Sam Luke. That's one of the reasons why I'm putting Samuel down as my first name, but having people call me Sam - my last name is two syllables as well.
