    Have been thinking about cutting my hair short for like 10000 years;
    but I still haven't gathered my guts + I'm not sure what haircut I should get.

    I'm asian and iseriouslyhavenoidea how to describe my face shape =_=
    it's like circular but oval but highcheeckbones and ohsoconfusing.

    I really love Fx's amber hair; but her face is very ovalish unlike mine.

    Anyone have suggestions for short haircuts?

    p.s (!) banananas.

    I'm inbthe same boat as you, my face is a oval shape with high cheek bones. I am looking at an asymmetrical pixie cut. It lends it's self to quite a few different face shapes so maybe you can check it out! I really like the pic you posted too though. It looks cute

    i say just find pictures of something you like that seems to match your face shape.. then take it to a stylist and ask them what they think, or if they have any suggestions.

    I just cut my hair short after forever, and I just said "layer it, dye it red, and cut it." She's so good she gave me a perfect shoulder length haircut. Definitely make sure you have a good stylist is my only advice!!!

    YES! If the stylist has bad hair, don't use her. I always judge the dresser's hair prior to sitting in the chair. :slight_smile:

    When you pull it up into a bun you you like the lack of hair below your chin?

    I really don't know much in the way of female haircuts, but I will say that I think a short haircut works well with the asian facial structure. I think either a short hair cut or a really long (down to the butt) haircut is what works for the asian face.

    Besides, it's hair. It'll grow back! :slight_smile:

    Ahhhhh wow never expected so much replies.
    This community is great :grin:
    And I only know bad asian hairstylists who cut hair according to what they think;;
    Last time I asked for a little trim,, and she just chopped it all off saying it was "damaged".
    (It was damaged but I really missed my hair T.T)

    Sometimes I wish everyone was bald so hair wouldn't matter..
    && I do like sara's hair;;
    I shall do more research :grin:

    thanks for the replies guys <33333333333333

    I cut my hair to an asymmetrical bob (shorter in back, long in front) and couldn't have been happier with my decision. Long hair weighed me down and this hair is definitely more me. If you are afraid of cutting it too short, you could consider starting at a bob length and then progessing to the pixie cut/boy length. If your face is really long or you have a big forehead (as most long faces do, i.e. me) i would recommend something with sideswept bangs that is short in the back. Also definitely consult your stylist, they have so much experience! Anyways, good luck girlie
