So I've only been smoking for five years now. Not too long but long enough for me. I seriously want to quit, my problem is I live with three other smokers. not just that I cannot afford the patches and don't really wanna use those. So anyone who has quit would ya please lend me some advice? I'm sick of loosing my shit when I don't have one, and it's just a waste of money anyways.
99% of the battle it with the mind...if you want to give up, you will give up. I was a smoker for 33 years...until last December, I was ready. I tried Champix, didn't like the affect it had on me so I stopped taking them in the 3rd week and went cold turkey. Smoking 5 years, it should be a piece of piss for you IF you are in the right head space.
Yeah..I gotta work on that. I'm trying to smoke less each time...and finding things for when I am stressed.
smoking less or smoking lower nicotine smokes will not work and only serve as a 'feel good' move. Just work on getting your head in the right place, that is the only thing that is going to work.
I quit cold turkey in December, haven't had one since. I was in a bad place when I started smoking and I didn't want to feel like that anymore and I knew the only way to move past was to stop smoking. The first few weeks is the hardest, after that you stop getting as many cravings. You think about it when you see others smoking, just think how they are ruining their bodies with every puff they take. That helped me quit. Hope this helps you.
I wouldn't want to smoke weed, not again anyways bad things happen with that. But it seems like cold turkey and sucking it up is going to be the way. So I'll try it.
