i really wasn't planning on starting one, but my friend who i recently came out to (she is a lesbian) mentioned to me that we should start one, because my school doesn't have one. being that i live on long island, and not in Kentucky, i don't think i will have any problem with administration allowing us to start one. that being said, there is always the possibility that a bunch of psychotic evangelist soccer moms will pose some sort of opposition. if that WERE the case, i was wondering what i could do if administration won't let us start one. i know that they can't legally prevent us from starting one, but if they did try, what could i do?
Call the ACLU and have them send a warning letter. It's really that simple, but i think you won't have problems. However, you should try to play nice since you'll want to maybe advertise it at school.
