Is anyone else really envious of out people. Theres a guy in my chem class who is out & he seems so happy, and people make jokes about it, but he seems so comfortable with it, and I'm almost jealous of that. Anyone else feel similar?
Honestly, take the jealousy as a motivation and inspiration for you to come out to people in your life. That is how to turn your situation of jealousy into a positive outcome.
I can't though, as my two brothers are homophobic, and all my good friends have gone off to university, so I'm kind of alone for this year. I do believe I would come out if I had a good friend in my city.
Well, you're closeted, but you don't get joked on. He's out, but gets joked on all the time. It's an even trade-off. Just because he appears to be handling it well doesn't mean he is. We all have our own hardships. Take your time and work the process. You'll be out and loving life soon enough.
Maybe if you come out...you could support each other, or more? Maybe you wouldn't be so alone this year. How often do you interact with your brothers? What about your parents?
