I am extremely shy... I avoid eye contact because it makes me uncomfortable and embarrased. In the past my method of showing a girl I had interest was notes... Texts things like that. I am clueless on how to approach a girl at say a bar. The girls have dated describe me as socially awkward. I am pretty much completely out... But even with the girls I have dated I get embarrased because of something that happened when I was 15. Any advice?
My small slice of advice is to find a bookclub, or something along the lines of members and discussions, maybe something at the local community center. It's much easier to talk to people when the topic is focused on a project, hobbies, or well known subjects.
