So I found out last Friday that Europride is going to be in Oslo, Norway next year, and oh my, do I want to go! A girl I'm dating has been encouraging me to save up money to go, and go with her. And I want to. I'm planning to.

Now the problem is my parents. They don't seem to be all that okay with having a reputation of a lesbian daughter. I'm 18, so sure, I can technically do whatever I want to, but I'm scared of my parents' reaction when I just tell them I'm going.

Their 2 arguments for me to not go were:
"What do you think people will think when you go and parade yourself as a gay?"
"We don't want you wandering around alone when there's that much people in the streets" (well this one will be irrelevant if I get to go with the girl I'm dating)

Do you guys have tips for what I should say and do to get them used to the idea of me going to Europride.
