Do most adults just live without friends? After high school all of my friends are slowly going to college or joining the military and now it's like I have nobody to talk to, I feel so isolated from everyone. I feel like this is the new normal for me. I'm too introverted and shy to put myself out there to meet new people, so a bf is out of the question. What do I do?
Most of my current friends are people I've met after college so it's not uncommon to lose track of high school friends after a while. I'd say look for people with common interests where you work, or get involved in some sort of hobby/activity/association/club/whatever and see if you meet anyone interesting there?
Everyone at work is at least 10+ years my age. And like I said, I'm too shy to even think about randomly meeting people.
