"Adam and Steve" Phrase

well.. you could always be like "Yea, way to go eve for effing it all up"

or something like that lol.

 

Maybe something like they weren't black and white either I guess we should ban interracial marriage to or something following that logic.

I just look at them with a blank look on my face. "Really? That's the best you've got." If they use that line, their minds are so closed, that it's useless even talking to them.

 

Say, God also shunned divorce. Should we make that illegal too?

Or you could show them the movie Adam and Steve, which, although it starts off kinda...weirdly XD... is basically a movie who's overall theme is God DID make Adam and Steve (because the two guys are named Adam and Steve and, ya know... nevermind DX)

I don't consider that a serious argument at all. It's a silly rhetorical platitude that people with no real arguments try to pass as an argument.

 

It is a nice rhyme, if you want to be anti-gay with a rhyme. Rhyming is pretty gay though so you lose.

Although I guess I can see what they are saying because the first couple was a man and a women, so we should all model ourselves after that because it worked out perfectly for those two, if you don't read the entire story

 

One of two things.
Point out that the phrase 'Adam and Eve' is never actually said once in the bible, let along 'God Saying'.

Or point out that I don't think Gay couples are bad, considering the first heterosexual couple kinda, partially, effectively, completely screwed over man (and woman, and man and man and woman and woman)kind

I just ignore them. These people are so set in their ways that it isn't even worth my time to try to open their minds.

 

I'd give them a book about evolution.

Someone who uses that phrase is probably not worth arguing with, as this is pretty superficial in terms of apologetics lol...
