    No, I wouldn't. I would not leave my family because of one jerk. An Internet community... maybe. I would continue to chat with my friends in emails.
    But I would not abandon the people IRL.

    I was in similar situation once. What helped me tons was - to forgive. I know that you probably feel like they should apologize first. But forgiving and forgetting is freeing. If you will be waiting for their apology all the time, you will never forget.
