Im freaking out about the program bc it says Grades The academic requirements in the Nursing curriculum are demanding and students are cautioned to plan their work schedules or extra curricular activities with this in mind. Nursing course grades reflect both theoretical and clinical competence. The letter grade awarded is based on achievement in written objective tests. A minimum grade of 75 in each of the core courses is required to enter the subsequent nursing course or graduate. A student will not be permitted to withdraw from a course after the final exam has been taken. The minimum grade point averages required to maintain academic standing are: 1.7 with 1-14 credits attempted 1.8 with 15-29 credits attempted 1.9 with 30- 47 credits attempted 2.0 with 48 or more credits attempted im freaking out bc theres sooo much competition nd my mom put so much doubt i can do it! A minimum of 15.5 credits (including NUR101) must be completed before progressing to NUR105. A minimum grade of "C" is required in: AHS131 to enter N105 AHS132 to enter N203 AHS202 to enter N204 and Readmission Policy Students who stop out (successfully complete prior course but do not enroll in the following semester’s nursing course), withdraw from, fail or receive a grade below C in any one of the Nursing courses may be considered for readmission to that course. Readmission is neither guaranteed nor is it an automatic process. Students may repeat only one Nursing course. Students may repeat a Nursing course only one time. Requests for readmission must be made in writing to Nursing Department Chair. The Academic Standing Committee reviews all readmission requests. Readmission requests must include current transcript and documentation that Academic Development Recommendations have been completed. If the student is accepted for readmission with additional recommendations imposed, all requirements must be met prior to review by the Academic Standing Committee. Students requesting readmission to a designated semester must complete all corequisites Students will be readmitted upon the availability of seats in the following priority: "Stop"; "Withdrew passing"; "Withdrew failing"; "Failed". Readmission may be denied to any student who has exhibited physically or verbally abusive behavior or who has otherwise exhibited unprofessional conduct. Im freaking out about the nursing program bc of the competiton and gpa that im supposed to have. any advice?
You can do it!! Obviously, you must work hard to achieve your goals. Even if you have to work hard to do so!
You do know most schools and courses scale stuff to make it seem like their students are really awesome? That 75% or higher is passing is just meant to scare people into taking things serious. All majors and programs do that. My first masters program said stuff like that and I totally blew my engineering course, but it scaled to a C+. Also, don't sell yourself short.
Exercises is not really a term I use to describe academic work. But I think I understand. I have a work ethic that means work hard until it's done. Do not study too much that you are wasting time on things you know. Also small refresher reviews (Help a lot believe it or not with retention). Do not be afraid to ask for help and use any study sessions possible Do not stay up too late (I don't function or test well on low sleep) Eat breakfast before quizzes especially. And you just have to learn to prioritize sometimes.
One more. Do NOT start doing homework at like 11 like some people do. I use the evening to decompress and relax. I'm going to bed and then my friends are like "oh I need to start my homework". Use time wisely.
