So, today I was talking to my mom about clothes and honestly flat out boldly told her that I HATED all of my clothes.. Her response to that was her telling me to go into my closet and take out all of the clothes that I hated so I could get rid of them..long story short, I took out most of my clothes!! Now most of my clothes are in a huge pile and all ready to be donated....... Is this some sort of sick test or joke?? My mom is allowing me to donate real expensive boy clothes from Europe & crap............. I don't know what she's planning.. Knowing her, it's probably some test.. She hates what I am.......... My daddy is taking me shopping for new clothes later at the mall.. How can I get him to let me just get unisex clothes?? What are good neutral clothing
American Apparel has a lot of clothing labelled as unisex that come in all sorts of colors including girl colors. Granted, the cuts are not necessarily ultra-feminine (no ruffles and bows), but generally somewhat to very form-fitting. Maybe that could be a compromise? This: Unisex Neon Poly-Cotton Short Sleeve Crew Neck | American Apparel and this: Unisex Slim Slack | American Apparel could work nicely together. Throw on a scarf and cute shoes to go with it and you'll look nice.
Unfortunately, I just checked and there are no AA stores in AK. Kind of weird since they have a million stores all across the world. I'm so sorry. But they do ship though.
It doesn't sound so much like a test, as it sounded sort of sarcastic. Either way, it didn't seem to have much straight(ha)forward good will in it.
Congratz DeLuna!!! I was actually waiting for your response on this. And thankfully, it was the result I was hoping for. I know you've been having issues with your parents. I'm not sure where I read it but it was definitely here on EC. Parents go through stages of grief when their kids come out of the closet. Some parents take it better than others, some take a lot longer to go through the stages much slower while others can't get past certain stages. It sounds like your parents are at least a little more accepting. Glad to see you're feeling in better spirits now than earlier!!!!
Damn, sweet deal. They were cool with that? Awesome!!! I know that's not perfect, but it's hopefully a better wardrobe for you than your last! (*hug*)
But I think if your mother had specifically been trying to make you get more "boy" clothes, she'd have probably told your dad to check carefully what you were getting. Either way. Happy that so far it worked out well for you
I'm really glad it went well... I don't know if this was some kind of tests, but I think we'll be sure whether or not it was quite soon. I really hope your parents are just starting to understand you and accept you
I don't know if any of this has been a test, but as long as the outcome has helped you feel somewhat better, then I suppose that's something. I really hope you some how, some time find happiness. Happy days
