Is it more difficult for people on the autistic spectrum/Aspergers to know their sexual orientation?

I can't speak from personal experience, but one of my best friends has apergers and probably found it easier t determine his orientation than anyone I know.

Thought he might be gay, explored the idea for a bit, wasn't for him so he moved on...at least that's how he tells it.

What do you define as 'more difficult'?

Depends on the individual, but I wouldn't necessarily say yes. There are plenty of non autistic/Aspergers people who are confused or questioning their orientation.

Thinking about it, all the autistic people I've known have been bi. Probably just a coincidence.

Autistic people have great difficulties with social interaction and are often quite isolated, that is why i was wondering about this.

I doubt that there are more Autistic spectrum LGBT people. I would guess that the majority of us are Straight followed by Bi and then Gay.

I'll let you know in a few years after my son has gone through puberty and grown up a bit.

    Happy days

I have Asperger's, and I agree with your statements. Because I wasn't very social growing up, it took me longer to realize my sexuality.
