    To change your body?

I've been neglecting my health for a long time because I didn't care. Now that I've figured myself out I feel a lot better. I went and got myself a doctor, signed up to a new medical plan yesterday. It's been years since I even had a regular check-up and being as my body is female I know I'm going to have to go through all that horrid stuff they insist on putting you through. Is it bad that I hope they find something wrong?

I'd love to hear "Hey, you carry that breast cancer gene, double mastectomy for you!" or "Yeah, we're going to have to remove that uterus of yours."

That's kinda messed up, huh? Do you ever feel that way? That it would be easier to have a better ~reason~ to get rid of the parts of you that don't belong?

I've brought up having my breasts removed before... but it was turned into talk of reduction. Don't want that. Want them gone. Well, no one wants to hear that. Then it becomes elective surgery instead of something that'll make you better and healthier. Such bullshit.

Yes, I do! In fact, I wish I did have a reason so that any insurance I would hopefully have would cover it.

I use to feel that way when I was in my late teens but since decided that I'd rather have a healthy female body than an unhealthy more male one. Within the limitations of our emotional health, we need to care for our bodies as best as we can (then we're healthier for surgeries if we have them). I have never been for any female stuff check ups but I will force myself once I'm married. If you're sexually active, you have to go... unfortunately. And once you're over 30, too. :bang:

No, it's certainly not fucked up. What's fucked up is having to negotiate a weird ass health/psychological system to get access to transition care.

I'd only want to socially transition. But that's just me.

Anyway, running is my transition... I've pretty much accepted that I'm never gonna pass. So might as well enjoying the feminine feeling running gives me.

And while that was worth it to post the meme I do 1000000000% agree. Luckily I have some decent insurance and found a place that can prescribe me hormones that takes said insurance. Now I just have to accept myself and decide if the hormones are worth it (which right now I believe they are. I can't wait!)

It's terrible, but I think the same way...a lot.

Mainly now it's been hopes of needing a hysto mainly attributed to crazy things that have happened earlier this year.

It sucks, but what can you do really?
