It has been concerning me lately... What is the meaning of life? I feel as though there is no meaning to it...

I searched for a deeper meaning, too. Haven't found it yet.
But my personally meaning of life is to be yourself!

Could you live with no meaning? Can anyone not live with a great grand Goal and just be? I wonder...

I believe everyone haves an individual meaning to their lives. I'll go with the cliche route of finding happiness. But, what is happiness? I don't know, I guess everyone haves their own answer for that.

Maybe what brings you a fulfilling life is being able to be yourself; maybe it's helping others; maybe it's having a family of your own; etc. I guess we'll know once we experience something that makes us think "I guess this is what I'm meant to do in life" or something like that.

You place a meaning to life...life does not create a meaning for you.

An existential crisis! I think it eventually happens to almost everyone. You could read about some philosophy. Although it's the non-fiction science books that led me down the right path.

My spin on it? Life doesn't need a meaning. The meaning might be beyond the scope of human understanding. Make the most of it. I know my meaning of life. I know exactly why I am here. It was difficult to accept, but I've found peace with it. You might discover a terrifying answer that you don't want to share with others.

"M-hmm. Well, it's nothing very special. Uh, try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations."

    Edit:

    Damn you.

I'm a bit of a nihilist, but not in a negative way.

The naturalist and scientist in me wants to say that there is no meaning, only stimulus-response, action-reaction, cause-effect. We are just organisms floating around bumping into each other. This isn't a bad thing. We evolve and adapt, we grow. We interact. Most importantly, we wonder.

I think the meaning of life is just to live.

I look at what the Egyptians believed in when you die, you come to gates, where you are asked two questions:

    1. Did you find happiness and joy in your life?

    2. Did your life bring happiness and joy to others?

Depending on your answer determines what kind of afterlife is awaiting you. (Not just Heaven or Hell, anything)

    But

Mainly I just look at life as mysterious, full of surprises, while others look at it as some higher power's will for you to live, or others just see it as beak as drifting through life until you die.

What I like to think of it is We do not wait for life, Life is there waiting for us to be born, and it will end when we die. Life is a Journey Take it as you like, but when someone leaves us, their journey's over and ours continue. When we die, whoever we leave behind, though our journey ends, their's continues. Everyone has their own journey and there is always one ending and one beginning everyday.

See where your journey takes you, and wanna here something crazy? Questioning what life is, is apart of your journey, and whatever else I say will or will not impact it. The more you question, the more answers you will receive because questioning seems to be your journey at the moment.

Life, and indeed existence, has no evident intrinsic meaning. The only meaning is that which we individually place on it ourselves.

It's quite liberating when you consider it as you are therefore free to assign your own purpose and meaning to your life and therefore guide it in the direction you choose.

By accepting this principle, you have gained one of the greatest prizes of all: freedom. I would point out however, that with freedom comes the burdon of responsibility to exercise that freedom in a way that is not detrimental to others and preferably yourself (although what you ultimately do to and with yourself is of course your free choice).

Anyway, i could go on for ages and off on a tangent so I'll stick with what I have put so far.

    Happy days
