I live in the UK. I'd say we're pretty accepting of immigrants here. As for being gay, if you move to a bigger city like London you'll face pretty much zero discrimination. I live in rural Scotland and its okay... but I still feel that I could live somewhere which is more tolerant. As for Europe, I went to the Netherlands on holiday and saw lots of guys holding hands down the road. I think it looked really accepting. Good luck!

Canada and the United States are tolerant of European immigrants. I wish I could say that most Americans are tolerant of Mexican immigrants, but they're not.

Anyway - Canada and the US are very gay friendly, modern societies. I'm not sure how the politics are in Canada, but you might have heard, they're a joke in the US.

I am an Spanish guy who moved to the UK a year ago approximately. Best thing I have ever done, honestly!

My experience is 100% positive. I used the chance to come out. I have been openly gay in the UK since I arrived here and it was so much better than being closeted that It made me realize that I needed to come out back in Spain too.

Sexuality/attraction related things appear all the time in normal conversation so nearly anyone that knows me knows that I'm gay and I have not found a single bad reaction. I have only met one homophobic person and he was from a different country that is way more backwards in this kind of things And it ended up with quite a lot of people making fun of it (I didn’t even mention I’m gay).
In general I have not faces any discrimination based on me being Spanish either apart from friendly jokes that I would just answer with more jokes. Also being “tanned and exotic” is an attractive thing for British guys eyes apparently, so I have no reason to complain :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:.

Just make sure you are on an student/big city and everything would be fine. Spain is also a good place and quite mixed race-wise (not that you can easily tell Greeks from Spaniards anyway :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:) but you will probably need to speak Spanish since our English level is quite pitiful.

And as Twinnumber2 said Netherlands 9and belgium, my cousin and his husband live there  ) is a really friendly place too
