Obviously two "moms" would be confusing. And I don't like "mama." Do you think it would be weird to have one "mum" and one "mom" even if both mothers are American? I'm not having a child anytime, but I was just thinking about this.

In Modern Family, Lily calls her fathers "dad" and "daddy." She uses "dad" for Cam and "daddy" for Mitchell.

I think children with lesbian moms can do the same thing, referring to one of their mothers as "mom" and the other "mommy."

I think it'd be cute to have Mama [name] and Mama [name], personally

I had a conversation like this earlier with a friend of mine and she's decided to have her kids call her megaton.

I could see our children (if we ever decide to do that) doing what Lily on Modern family does and referring to us as Dad and Daddy. But I suspect who gets which names would be up to the child, and not us.. And I am ok with that..

I've always heard Mom and Mommy. When the kid gets older, they usually change mommy to Mom also, and by then, it's easy to tell who they are aiming it at.

I have a friend who was raised by two gay women from the age of 3 or 4. One is his biological mother and the other is her wife. He calls his mum 'mum' and his step mum 'Annie'.

    Her name is Annie.

I suppose if they were adoptive mothers it would be difficult.... probably just the same? I don't know
