Hi, I'm in junior year and have just told my best friend that I'm lesbian, but need to wait a while before telling my parents.

I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to deal with the stress of being in the closet until it's possible to come out.

    Thanks :icon_bigg

Signing up on sites like these can do wonders. I'm still closeted, so the internet is literally the only way I can be myself. I can live as my gender without "passing", and I can compliment people's appearances without getting odd looks.

    That's freedom to me.

On the internet, no one knows you. And in a community as awesome as this one, no one will judge you, either. That gives you a feeling of peace and happiness, to know that at least some people out there accepts, loves, and respects you for who you are.
