My gut feeling says receptionist is a dead-end job, i.e. no or very limited opportunity for advancement. But a bachelor's or master's in business administration is quite valuable for moving up management positions in the corporate world.

What about a CNA/Medical Assisting program? Depending on where you live, some only require 16 weeks of training or less. You can make some decent money becoming certified as a nursing/medical assistant. If working in the medical field is not your cup of tea, what about a paralegal? They also make some decent money but it really depends on what you're interested in.

If anything, I'd recommend that if you decide to go back to school, study something that you're actually passionate about. Hmm...what about cosmetology?

any office administration program should give you the training to do a receptionist position, just be prepared to deal with the public who can be first class asses. you can specialize in medical or legal as well to try to better fit into these fields.

I wanted to work as a administration program in the hospital but they only take people that are trained which sucks  .
although what the others suggested are good but I saved up money for my new apartment and I'm not spending it on anything other than a place to live .

good luck hun. there may be other options that come up. you said you tried nursing, is there a related field that you could look into? Phlebotomist, or some other field related to nursing?
