Oregon is one of the more LGBT friendly states, right?? I'm curious, why is it more accepting than other states..?? I'm going to be living there for a while I think.. I heard that trans' people have rights there??
Oregon has its cities like Portland and Eugene that are very accepting, but there are many other places (mostly small towns) that would be considered "redneck" in a bad way. You'll find pockets of hateful people everywhere, though. I don't really know any trans rights, though I do know U of O has gender neutral dorms... I don't think that really helps, though.
