Background... I recently came out and met a handsome man online. We've been talking for months now and we've been boyfriends for three months. Anyways, if you haven't read any of my posts, I'm a virgin and this is my first relationship ever. I'm not stuck in the whole virgin rut but as a man in an online gay relationship I want to see what you guys think about the role of intimacy, or other qualities, has in keeping the relationship fresh and alive.

Personally, I think its very important. To be very close to him in how we feel and what we like keeps us strong. Do you guys think otherwise, the same?

I think that that's mainly affected by you and your boyfriend. Don't force anything, but don't hold anything back either. How you interact in an online relationship varies, there is no "normal".
