My job knows that I volunteer on Tuesdays and Wednesdays , I even left a note for these people last month letting them know I will be volunteering on the boss's desk , then what do they do they give me the holiday off , so they don't have to pay me extra for working on holidays and then I get a call from my parents saying they said I was suppose to come in to work ,when I left a note before hand letting these people know I can't come in . I'm so mad and now I'm wondering can i get fired for this ? even though I told them a month ago I will be volunteering on these two days and will be unable to work and the boss ok it ..:tantrum: They act like I don't have a damn life .
I don't think you'd be fired for this, and as hard as it is, try to be courteous to your boss when you explain that you told him you'd be volunteering. Out of curiosity, what are you volunteering for?
