Okay, so I'm driving to a nearby city tomorrow to confess my love to my ex girlfriend before I leave on a work trip for 5 months. The question is...bring a gift? She's not the flowers type, so if your vote is yes, what would you suggest? Keep in mind I'll be asking her to meet me at a restaurant; I don't want to show up at her house uninvited. Thoughts?
Perhaps something simple like a box of chocolates? You say ex-girlfriend. If you've broken up and moved apart, it might be awkward to bring a gift.
I don't know if I vote yes or no but if you decide yes, I'd suggest something small and not expensive but which has a lot of thought behind it. Something she would use often or for something special.
Well... If you know anything specific she has a sweet spot for, (quirks, favorite foods, etc.) you could bring something like that. Keep it small/low key though.
Given the situation from your other thread, I would bring something small... a small bottle of juice, for example... or nothing... I would make this mostly about the two of you... meeting and talking... you might bring something to remind her of you, but that could also be done later, via mail, if thats possible... (*hug*)
Ok. I'm actually glad to read these responses. I wasn't going to bring anything, but it was suggested to me. Whew. I'm going empty handed. I agree, I thought it would be awkward! Thanks!
