Maybe it's just me. But I came out to my good friend last week. And tonight I came out to my mom finally. Both times, I have felt exhausted after coming out. Emotionally I feel drained, but I also feel tired physically.

I'm guessing it's the whole emotional aspect of it. I think maybe it's the adrenaline rush before coming out,the nervousness I felt has something to do with it. Both reactions were good by the way!

Was just wondering if anyone else had/noticed a similar experience.

The same has happened to me a few times. It can be a very emotionally exhausting thing, which does lead to physical exhaustion.

Im glad both reactions were good! Congrats on coming out to your friend and your mom

It really depends who it was with. Some people I've known all my life and am incredibly close with, it was incredibly draining. With acquaintances or people I've just met, it hasn't been a big deal.

But yes, I've been in your shoes. I remember feeling drained for a few days after coming out to my parents.

It varies but yes, some were absolutely exhausting.

I remember reading somewhere in a list of "coming out tips" to try to setup those conversations when you don't have anything important/complicated to do for the rest of the evening, for that exact reason.
