I have only just started accepting myself as a lesbian. I went to the gym last night like I do every night to blow off some steam. Someone on a cardio machine next to me started talking to me. He was very nice, but I didn't feel like talking. I tried to get that message across without being rude, but I clearly failed because before he left he asked for my number. AND I GAVE IT TO HIM. Wtf, why did I do that??:bang: Anyway it's too late now. He said he'd text me later about getting coffee or something sometime. I almost said, "no, wait I'm gay," but I don't want anyone to know. So how can I politely turn him down with revealing my orientation?:help:
just tell him that you either have a boy friend or you could tell him that he isn't your type or just tell him that you don't want to date at the moment.
I don't think it's nice to give a lie like he isn't your type or you have a boyfriend (implying you are straight).
Any # of reasons will do: "I'm really busy at work and/or school," "i'm coming of a breakup and don't feel like dating right now (I've heard all of these before, sadly).
Just tell the truth. You dont have to tell him youre gay.Did he actually say it was a date? Let him know that its just friendship.
Or you could just ghost away and not reply to his texts...perhaps slightly rude but effective nevertheless.
Just tell him you're not interested. You don't have to come out (actually, it would probably mean nothing to him if you did).
