I don't want to elaborate on the whole story, but the fact is: due to hospital bills from the past, I'm in debt and a normal daily job is barely enough to survive.
That's why I'm considering becoming a webcam model. I just want to be sure what the good websites are, the reality of "incomes" ( you must earn more than a normal job, but I'm sure those 50000 dollars a week are a bit over the top),.....

I also like to dress up like a woman and would like to have info on crossdressing ( realistic looking adhesive boobs, vagina,....)

This is not the kind of topic where I ask for advice to do it or not. I just want to have extra info, what are the do's and the don'ts......

  2. there was a documentary on netflix i watched not too long ago about the porn industry (sounds dodgey haha but its not lol) it was called like hot girl wanted or something and in reality people doing that kind of work more than likely dont earn as much as you think.

i think one shoot for a girl was around 400 but then factor in rent and things, say you do 3 a day. its tiring and not worth the money. and i think they touched upon cam girls and they dont earn half as much as what the regular porn stars earn from my memory. i know its a different situation but you know same sort of thing.

thats going to be online for the rest of your life, could you live it down if say your parents found out or say if you had kids in the future.... how would you feel if somehow they found it/found out about it?

you might want money but i wouldnt reccomend it at all. all of the women in the doc i watched all said they didnt feel it was worth it at all even though you might be earning a lot of money. alas, there situ is diff to yours but i would say dont do it.

can you do odd jobs for friends/neighbours like babysitting or diy?

I would definitely wear a wig and make sure I don't look too much like myself.
I have no other options at the time and I have peace with it. I'm not here to ask the question: will I or will I not do this? It's more about: does anyone have the experience, what sites should I avoid?
I'm a male by the way, but with some crossgender dressing I would go for the shemale-transgender type of camgirl as well. No one would recognize me when walking down in the streets.

IF I'd ever have a partner, children, ...I'd be honest about it, tell them how hard life could be and what kind of solutions you need to find to solve it.

  4. i know youre male i didnt mean to misgender you, sorry if you thought that. i was just saying about the doc i watched. even tho it contained women, it was sort of like your situ....

you could google sites and see what comes up but im 60% sure we arent really allowed to give that advice out.... as it seems pretty risky.

i highly doubt people here will have the experience to give you the advice you need, altho i could be completely wrong. can you get any money from your parents? cant you somehow rearrange a lower amount o pay off each month? look for another job for nights i.e bar work of some kind but with short shifts, so you might end up working 12/14 hr days it would be an extra source of income.

alas that is all i shall say. i dont wanna get banned haha for giving info we may not be allowed to give

Cam models really don't make a lot (especially if you're male / trans, as most of the porn consumption globally is cis female), a lot of the time you're working for 3 or 4 dollar tips from viewers but usually much lower. I don't imagine you'd make more money doing that over any other less risky occupation!

I'm not looking for another kind of job as this would be something I could do at home which makes it feel very comfortable. Hopefully someone experienced pops up.

I know several people who have done this.

The majority of cam models make very little. The ones you hear of who are making 30 or 50 or 100 grand a year are like 5% of the population of cam models at best.

Additionally, I don't think there's a way to adequately describe the impact it can have on your psyche. There are some seriously screwed up people out there who make demeaning and offensive requests, who criticize and find every little flaw, who think that for a couple of bucks they control you. Some of the people I know who have done cam workwere deeply affected psychologically by the way they were treated.

And then there's the issue of your face and whatever you do on camera being out there forever, because a lot of people do screen captures of models' cam shows. There are entire tube sites that are made up solely of webcam or skype chats surreptitiously recorded and uploaded.... and re-uploaded again and again. Once it's out there, it's out there forever. It can pop up 5 or 10 or 20 years later and come back to haunt you.

Finally, most of the people who attempt to hide or alter their appearance tend to not do well, as the whole point for most people watching cam shows is seeing a person in his or her own natural environment dressed (or undressed) naturally. The audience for other than extremely attractive, cisgendered, conventionally dressed people is pretty small, and cam models are a dime a dozen so it isn't easy to stand out from the crowd.

I know you say you're already convinced and aren't interested in hearing the downside, but I feel like it's important to hear these things before making this decision.

To be perfectly honest, I'd rather do porn than ever consider being a cam model (god forbid on either of those! The fact I'm not doing either is a public service, believe me). Cam modeling's a tough field to get into and as other people have been saying, you really have to think about what you're getting into. Are you willing to consider the impact it could have on your career?

Here's an article they ran on Cracked a while back about a woman who did caming with ventrioquists. Like I said, it's a tight field to get into and you usually have to find a very strong niche in order to set yourself apart.

Sure, but you really, really have to know how to market your stuff and be comfortable doing something like this while being realistic enough to accept it's not going to be super profitable right out of the gate (or possibly ever).

If you don't try, you will never know and you get nowhere. It's not that you lose anything if it doesnt turn out to be as lucrative as expected.

You could lose your reputation, credability, and a several future job opportunities if this is on the internet for everyone to see.

    ^^QFT^^

There's a lot of potential downside. It's something you might do once that makes you a hundred or five hundred bucks... that could derail some future opportunity that you aren't even thinking about as a possibility right now.

Now... it's possible that 5 or 10 years from now, nobody will give the slightest crap about someone being naked on a cam video. But I think it's safe to say that there are definitely opportunities that may be lost because of this decision. And with only a 5 or 10% chance of making reaI money... it is at least something to think carefully about, whether the downside risk is worth the relatively small likelihood of a short-term payout.

f you honestly believe you can make that decision and won't have any regrets later... go for it. But I do know a number of people who have done this and later regretted it.

I'd even tell my children about it, I'm not the type of person that gets freaked out over the thought of getting caught or whatever. I'm not paranoid. If someone would tell me: we found these pics, so we don't hire you, then I'm like: great, now I immediately know what type of person you are. It could have taken me two years to find out.
