Is this weird? Is there a name for it?

Let's cut to the chase apparently everyone masturbates a lot and does porn a lot. I never watched porn or masturbated till I was late 17 early 18. I only did for a little help in determining my sexuality. I am gay and I am positive about that. That isn't the point of this thread. The point is many many many people start masturbating and watching porn a lot earlier and some people do it everyday. Till this day I only do it once maybe twice a month. I may have never even tried watching porn yet if it wasn't for my sexual confusion a few years ago.

    So my questions:
    1) Is it weird to masturbate the first time in your life at that late of an age
    2) Do most people masturbate everyday?
    3) Do I masturbate too little?
    4) Is there a name for this?
    5) Are you shocked at this thread? XD

I don't think that's weird. People can masturbate an excessive amount & not feel like doing it again for awhile, or do it daily. Some, not at all or less often than most. It's okay, it's just your personal business with your body. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not everyone masturbates a lot and not everyone watches porn. It's not weird to masturbate for the first time that late. I don't think everyone masturbates every day, or even most people. There's no such thing as masturbating too little. Do whatever feels good for you.

The only time masturbation is ever a concern is when it's so often that it interferes with someone's everyday life.

There's nothing shocking or weird about your thread or your questions. It's only shocking to some people because society has made it awkward or embarrassing to talk about sexual things. But there's no reason for that. Sex and masturbation is a normal and healthy part of who we are.

Different people find that their sexual arousal/awakening happens at different times. The majority of guys start feeling sexual urges around puberty (somewhere between 10 and 14 for most people), but some are earlier and some later. And some people develop strong sex drive (and desire to masturbate) around the time the go through puberty, but many develop it much later.

I've run across more than a few people who didn't really experience much of a sex drive until their very late teens or early 20s. If you poke around EC, you'll see a lot of people who label that sort of experiene "grey asexual" or "asexual" or something but... if we're using the widely used and accepted definitions of asexuality, that isn't the case; it's actually completely within the normal, ordinary spectrum of sexual experience and arousal.

As far as frequency of masturbation... On average, I think the average for people in their late teens and early 20s is probably once or twice a day. But there are people who masturbate once a month or less, and people who masturbate 3 or 4 times a day. All are completely within the normal range of experience.

So the short answer is... what you're experiencing is completely normal. There are some meditative and self-focus practices you can use that enhance orgasm and often can awaken sexual arousal and desire (you can PM me if you want more info on that,) but you're also perfectly fine right where you are as long as it's something you're comfortable with.
