I have this issue where I don't feel comfortable making physical contact while greeting someone I hardly know even if that person happens to be family. I even feel awkward greeting them verbally I just can't do it without plenty of mental preparation or sometimes I can't do it at all. Yet my mom forces me to greet and say goodbye to people in this manner. Please help ):

I know exactly how you feel, I've always been this way as well. I usually end up hiding from them! lol have you talked to your mom about it? Maybe if she understood how you felt she wouldn't force you to do so.
