I recently came out as bi to my mom. It didn't go so well, since she's Christian and all. I remembered that some parents send their kids to conversion camps. Since I'm under 18, (Sorry moderators, I was nervous and thought there was a 18+ policy in place) i want to make it so that if my mom sends me to a conversion camp, I want to transfer legal custody of me to either one of my friends or my brother. Is there anything I can donto make this happen, even if I'm not 18 yet?
Conversion Therapy is banned in most states and it looks like you're in NY so you're very lucky. I don't know about transferring custody but you can report your mother for sending you to a conversion therapy camp against your will. Also, I'm not sure if there are camps that still accept minors out there because its against the law. I think you can only send willingly/completely consenting adults.
