So anxiety has been taking over my life recently, and I'm wondering if anyone has advice on over the counter anxiety pills that work? Or if prescribed ones work better, would I get them through my doctor? What works best for you that you'd recommend? Thanks

I think it would be better if you spoke to your doctor about your anxiety problems first, perhaps see a specialist.
Meds do work for a lot of people, but they have alot sides. Meds should be a last resort after failed therapy imo.

There's no over the counter anxiety medications that are worth anything. Therapy is really helpful. Your school counselor or doctor may be able to help you find someone. They may also, if warranted, make a referral for prescription anxiety medication. These are not without their side effects and it can take some time to find the one that works best for you (it's different for each person), but they can make a world of difference.
