I'm new to the whole not-straight thing, and I'm wondering the appropriate label for not-straight and/or not-cis. I've seen LGBT, LGBTQ, GBLT, LGBTQ+, etc. Does it matter? What's the difference?

Use whatever you are comfortable with. I use LGBT because it is the one I see most. As for myself, identify as gay, lesbian, queer...
Different people will have different opinions. Just go with what you are comfortable with.

In my opinion, it doesn't really matter.

I also use LGBT because I think it looks better, but I've seen GLBT used a lot where I live.

Meh, just use what you prefer. People will understand what you mean.

Use whichever label you're comfortable with.
I usually use LGBT or LGBTQ.
