If anyone says anything, tell them you're thinking of working in sci-fi and you have to start somewhere.

There are several ways to go about this
    1) Do what Really said basically make a great excuse
    2) Just ignore them (This option is highly risky since they may see you as a target if you don't do anything.)
    3) Fight them (Risky unless necessary)
    4) Tell them the musical director wanted you to do it.
    5) Report the harassment.

The first and fourth options are the most logical in my opinion. I would recommend option three or five next depending on the situation. The second option I wouldn't recommend, but it's still out there.

So....you get to hang out with girls and they don't? Sounds like you've got the better part of the deal there....it's like why some guys will sign up for cooking or dancing....for the girls...
The boys are jealous they didn't think of it
