Is this much making out normal for a third date?

I went on a third date to his flat at university.
We snuggled really close to each other. I held his hands.
He then went in for a kiss and we had a really passionate making out session.
We just lay there really close in each others arms for a while, with the occasional kiss or make out again chatting about things.

Then just as I was leaving his flat to go catch the train, he called me back, so I turned around. And we kissed with tongues super quickly. It was amazing amd I had shivers

Is this normal?

 

It was very good hehe. Nah I haven't! I'm just womdering where we go from here. I hope he really does like me.
