So i have come to discover that my school does not have a GSA and I would love to start one. I live a largly religious community (mostly Mormon) but iv found that my school is fairly accepting of it's lgbt students, as there are many openly gay/lesbian couples at my school and at a dance one of the teachers even yelled at me and my (now ex) boyfriend for not getting up to dance when a slow song came on (which I found quite amusing). My problem is I dont know where to start or how to convince my school to let it happen or how to find a teacher willing to over see the club who Dosent already have a full plate. Any advice would be appreciated.

My advice would be to just ask as many teachers as you can until one says yes. Also try to find other students who are interested. It's great that your starting one because most schools can't start clubs until a student suggests them. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice, I'll ask around and see what I can do.
