How to Explain Being Trans To a Nieve and possibly biggeted friend

    I hav tried to explain it to him using all knowledge I know about the trans community however I was unable to explain it well..
    He believes that it doesn't exist and people are trans 'just because'

    I'm no expert but maybe you should try by asking him to explain what being male or female is. Is it purely physical or is it something more? Is gender something that everyone perceives in the same way?

    These sorts of questions can't give the answer your friend wants because honestly nobody really knows, in the same way nobody can explain the cause of our individual sexuality but a calm debate that opens your friends mind towards accepting something that he may never understand is a healthy step in the right direction.

    I explained the difference between gender and sex and he denied it..
    I tried metephores but he denied..
    I tried showing examples and he denied..
