I was thinking on buying a book about parenting, although I'm not planning on having kids. I just want to read the book, because it looks interesting. Do you think is dumb when I'm not going to be a father ever in my life?

Lots of people buy books on things they have no interest in actually doing, just to learn about those activities. Nothing wrong with it.

Not at all. There's nothing wrong with wanting to learn stuff even if you're not planning on ever using any of that information. I read stuff all the time just for the hell of reading and learning about something I didn't know about before.
