I'm currently attending college and would like to start networking. My academic advisor says I need to start building my resume sooner rather later. How do network with people. I have been told it's about who you know, so speaking of this how do I get my crush to mentor me. The reason I'm attracted is she is very successful. I think she may be a writer which is excellent because I am majoring in English. So how do I get her to mentor me?

This would be a really bad idea.

A mentor should be someone you can genuinely learn from that you don't have any ulterior motives or agendas, because this will absolutely complicate things and may end up backfiring and hurting you.

I'm sure there are plenty of other successful writers you could find to mentor that you don't have a crush on. That would be a better choice.
