My fiance and I are getting married in a few months and I need to start putting together a playlist for the wedding. There will be two playlists, one for background music during dinner and the other for partying. This will be a dry wedding since I am having it at my local church. Okay, so here's the issue. I'm very queer and most of my good friends know this, but I am not out to a lot of my family, extended relations, or family friends. Since I ended up marrying a man, most people think I am straight. I want to incorporate something about my LGBT identity since it has shaped our relationship, but I don't want it to be obvious to those who don't know. I figured the best way to do this was through music. Ideally, I would like to throw in as many LGBT songs as I can possibly get away with. Of course, I already have Dancing Queen, YMCA, and some George Michael. What I need from you guys are suggestions. Throw anything you got at me so I can make this the most covertly gay party I can get away with! (also to troll my conservative family  )
One way is to only include gay/bi/ally artists in the music selection. There's enough of them that the music would still be varied, but only those in the know will catch on. That sounds like so much fun!
Wait. Dancing queen is LGBT related? I never knew this. Wow. But then again, I never actually looked the song up. Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say that Queen is always a good idea.
Yes, I will have to add Queen! Anything Freddie Mercury, really. ABBA's Dancing Queen has been considered a gay anthem for many in the community and in some places has actually become a stereotype of gay individuals. Also, I love everything about your profile Vulcans, cats, math, Tony Stark :icon_bigg
Not sure if you've heard of her, but you could play a Missy Higgins song. She's an Australian musician who has toured the US. Maybe her song Steer? Or Scar?

Melissa Ethridge is a must. And also Poker Face.(apparently GaGa wrote it about bisexuality) Demi Lovato's Cool For Summer is also written about same sex attraction.
