Sadness

    Does anybody else ever just get really sad and hopeless when they were fine not long ago? I know for a lot of people it's hormones but for me it's just anxiety, I have anxiety attacks every single day and it kind of throws me into these low points every day where I really want to die.

    Basically, does anyone else ever feel like this, and how do you handle it?

    I just do things to take my mind off of it if I can. It's really hard because when I'm like that I don't want to do anything at all, but I know it will get better if I do, so I sort of force myself to keep going.

    Exercise helped a lot when I used to do it regularly but I recently had two surgeries and have had to take it easy for a while now and it's been hard trying to get back into a routine, especially with my hectic schedule.

    I'm sorry if these aren't the most helpful answers but I've been dealing with this most of my life and these seem to work the best from what I've experienced.

    I don't get spells of sadness but I do get other things. Like Quist, it helps me to distract myself and take my mind off it, for example by doing schoolwork or exercising. From time to time it also helps to talk to my friends about other things.

    Thank you both - I tried these things and they definitely seem like they could help. I'm feeling a bit better today, thankfully.
