    When a member posts a new thread on EC and then his or her's thread is suddenly moved to "Ask the staff" (without him or her being told), why would that happen to the member?

    Wouldn't that be because it's related to the forum itself and how it functions, or perhaps a direct question posed to the moderators?

    The only things moved to the "ask the staff" section have to do with the ins and outs of the site itself. The staff moves threads there so that they can give what you might call a more "definitive" answer.

    ...it'd be interesting to see a thread GRADUALLY moved to Ask the Staff, instead of suddenly. :slight_smile:
