Anal sex, just like any other sexual act, is different for everyone. Some like it, some love it and some don't care for it too much. It all really depends on who you do it with and how much you prepare for it.

Whatever you do always, ALWAYS use protection. You don't want one single decision to ruin the rest of your life.

As a younger man on the receiving end, I never cared much for it, as I got older and met some guys who knew what they were doing, I found it can be alot of fun.

OP and everyone else, be careful please, even with protection, eat right and take care of your bodies.

I have on tried on two occasions and the experience was radically different in both cases. The first time was with a semi-abusive guy and it was painful and turned me off anal for quite some time. The second time was a great pleasurable experience.

My personal experience has led me to believe that whether it is enjoyable or painful/bad depends on how patient/caring/experienced the other person is and I probably won't do it again unless I am in a relationship.
