Do you have to work at Christmas? If not, when do you finish work/school/college/uni? I am working until 10.40pm on Christmas Eve and return at 6am, 27th December.
I have school until next Tuesday, and my mom has to work on Christmas. I hope that you still enjoy the holiday!(*hug*)
Well, that's a relief. You could take in the midnight service if you so choose on the night of the 24th and you have the 25th and the 26th off. Is the 26th Boxing Day in the UK as it is in Canada? I will have to look up the significance of Boxing Day. I know that some Europeans have the Monday after Easter Sunday as a holiday. And, of course, Merry Christmas, Patrick!
Well, my store is closed Christmas Day but I do work early morning Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas... but I have the day after that off too...idk, weird schedule for me... but I only work 5 and a half hours a day so its not like its that bad xD
Normally on Wednesdays I work from 12-5 but since its Christmas Eve we go down to a skeleton crew (only 3 people instead of 7) and we are only open until Noon. So I work from 8-Noon on Christmas Eve, off on Christmas and then Im working for a coworker from 8-5 on Friday (normally a day off for me)
I work only a half day on Christmas Eve (until 12:30pm) and am off work until December 30th. It's too bad though that you have to work until 10:40pm on Christmas Eve.
I work until 3pm on Christmas Eve and then I scheduled some appointments on that Saturday so I suppose I'll go into the office on the 27th for a few hours.
i work till 4pm on Christmas eve, then i have the 25 and 26th off and then the weekend. i work then till 12 on the 31st and off for the first. sounds good but we're on skelton staff and i will have to cover 4 or 5 jobs plus my own.
No, I don't. I don't have a job! On Monday I have my first job interview though. Its a weird time for one isn't it?
I finished university yesterday, we'll start again in January (the 5th I guess). But since we are moving, I have to help in the new house with all kinds of things. So it's possible that I'll work in the new house then. =)
I am gonna hope and pray none of my clients have projects that need to be done that week. Letting everyone I write for know that that week's not going to be good for me but who knows? Not everyone pays attention to the memos.
Thank you! I'm hoping to make Midnight Mass if I get away on time. The 26th is indeed Boxing Day here. The main significance is that it marks the beginning of the sales and more frantic spending. :rolle: Merry Christmas to you too.
I'm doing my Christmas volunteering early morning on Christmas Eve. It's going to be a long day for me.
I finish at 2pm on christmas eve and then im back on the 29th. I miss being a student because I used to have almost a month off over christmas and easter.
Quite the contrary, I've been off since the end of Friday (don't work weekends) and I am returning to work on January 2nd (which is a Friday... >_>) In fairness, most of that time is annual leave.
I drive a yard truck for a chicken plant. Someone is supposed to be here on duty 24/7-365. I work 12 hour shifts with Wednesday being a half night. This means I am supposed to work from midnight to 6am Christmas morning (counts as Wednesday night) then return to work my normal 6pm-6am shift Christmas night. I talked to my boss and the guy who works the other end of the week and managed to talk my way into having him work 12 hours on Wednesday so I don't have to come in Christmas morning. Unfortunately about 20 minutes ago I overheard someone talking and they mentioned that he cut his leg with a chainsaw. They said it wasn't serious but it may give him an excuse to back out of the deal so...
