| Guest Posts: n/a |  Hello! I had been thinking of joining an LGBT site for a while so I went ahead and bit the bullet. I’m Mark, 19, constantly trying to find my way and make a name for myself in this world. I am out to no one but my parents, and sometimes I have a difficult time accepting my sexuality and living up to the straight persona I have created for myself. Anyway, my obsessions/interests are writing, acting and an increasing love for art and design. I love most sports and anything athletic – the gym is my drug of choice. I hope to meet some friendly people who can relate to me! (: |

What sort of stuff do you write? I did GCSE Drama but not much more, so I guess I'm a failed actor, but I adore drama, theatre and literature. I've read and seen a lot of plays. xD Now I'm at uni, I try and swim a mile at least twice a week, but I don't use the gym as that costs quite a bit extra at my campus sports centre. I’m currently not at University. After finishing school I did a couple of various courses at college, but I could not settle on something for the long-term. So I’m taking a while out for myself, I was beginning to feel a little lost and unsure of who I am. Next year I really want to learn more about myself and decide on what I truly want to do in the future. I have great parents who are supportive of me, so it’s nice not to have a pressure from them. I plan to go to university next year or the year after, when I have really settled on what I want to do. (: I write almost everything! My goal from being a teen was to finish a complete novel, but I have never settled on an idea. I also recently got into poetry. But if I am honest I have really neglected my writing these last couple of months, so I am easing myself back into it. My acting “career” was short and unfruitful haha. Great to hear you're thinking of going to university! What are you planning on studying? Haha, I would swap poems but, um, you're a guest and not a (full) member yet, so I guess not. Oh well, never mind. You can view some of my stuff on my EC blog. If you want to be an actor: don't give up! Pursue your dream! Try branching out too, into e.g. writing and directing. Having more skills at your disposal will set you apart from the rest when it comes to applying and auditioning for things. I'm looking to direct a play in the new year, which'll be heaps of fun: "The Alchemist" by Ben Jonson.  I'll keep an eye on this thread so I don't lose track of you again  Merry Christmas!
