I'm sixteen and have recently come out to my friends as a lesbian...but I'm SO scared of telling my family...I have a feeling my dad's in denial and refuses to accept what he knows, but my mom is still unaware...I don't think she'd understand...and my step dad is a total homophobe...the rest of my family is just very conservative, so not much support there either...I just feel as if I'm lying to them by not telling them, but I can't bring myself to say anyting.  |

Secondly, the coming out process doesn't need to be a fast one. Take your time and come out only to people you feel comfortable telling.

Some times you feel right that second is the right time to tell who every your with or like myself my family was the last people to find out just because I needed lot of people to accept me so I could be ready for what ever happened with my parents. Luckly they were super accepting and supportive. Coming out is not a one time thing. Its a life time thing that you do almost every day. To who every your feel like its right. |
