I've been lurking for some time, but now I just had to post. I'm 19 years old. I first noticed I had an attraction to other boys when I was in the 4th grade, but it wasn't until the 7th grade that I told myself I was gay. My Dad, who use to constantly say hateful comments about gays, including how fags should be shot or put into a building & having it blown up, tonight told me that he realizes that he had to have hurt me growing up with all of his hate talk about gays, that he was ignorant, didn't handle things properly in the past & that he accepts me for being who I am. He hugged me & told me that I should never doubt how much he loved me. Merry Christmas!  |
